Capital punishment: 4 letters behind.

We only have a few hours until Monday rolls around and I’ll be 5 letters behind. So Welcome to our speed round

is for Springfield

Springfield is the capital of Illinois.

This reminds me of our 8th grade trip to Springfield where we left at about 5 am and came back at about 10 pm and almost every boy on the bus played mattell electronic football for the entirety of both bus rides.

Every time you score a touchdown it makes a victory tone. Apparently my Brother in Law Mike would always say after every touchdown “Music to my ears”

is for Tallahassee

Tallahassee is the capital of Florida.

I remember that it was in Florida in 1995 that I ate Eggplant for the first time in English.

When I lived in Russia form 1992 to 1994 I ate eggplant for the first time. I had never eaten it in the states it had not sounded very appetizing. In Russian it is баклажан (baklazhan). You have to admit that looks and sounds a lot better than eggplant. As I came to find out, eggplant is all that. So in 1995 I went to Florida to visit my Russian friend Vladimir who was on a trip in North America. We went to an Italian restaurant and I had a very good Eggplant parmigiana.

is for Ulan-Ude

Ulan-Udea is the capital of the Russian republic of Buryatia.

We are out of State capitals now. And there are no countries whose capital begins with U. Buryatia is in Far Eastern Russia and I lived in Far Eastern Russia for 2 years. In the Summer of 1993 I took a 1 week train trip to Novo-Sibirsk and went thrrough Buryatia. Much of Lake Baikal the worlds deepest lake is in Buryatia

V is for Victoria

Victoria is the second best known city in British Columbia that begins with V. Vancouver being first.

Victoria to me as I am now caught up
